Missing Peace

MISSING PEACE:
Missing peace is a campaign I created in order to raise awareness of the charity Peace One Day, encouraging individuals to celebrate peace by attending particular events created by the charity itself. Using a play on words, Missing Peace sets an example for people by contributing something small in order to transform a negative piece into something positive. With the intention of catching the public’s attention I have depicted war symbols as my main focus which are then transformed into positive symbols of events.  Music is one of the key tools they use to raise awareness of Peace Day 21 September, which is why I have used headphones as one of my main icons.

Frankenstein

GOD IS IN THE DETAILS
FRANKENSTEIN:
For the main design concept I’ve chosen to relate back to the novels subtitle ‘The Modern Prometheus’. In this version Prometheus makes man from clay and water, a very relevant theme to Frankenstein as Victor rebels against the laws of nature (how life is naturally made) and as a result is punished by his creation. The Titan in the Greek mythology of Prometheus parallels Victor Frankenstein. Victor’s work by creating man by new means reflects the same innovative work of the Titan in creating humans. Victor, in a way, stole the secret of creation from God just as the Titan stole fire from heaven to give to man. Both the Titan and Victor are punished for their actions. Victor is reprimanded by suffering the loss of those close to him and the dread of being killed himself by his creation.
